Name: Garoa Fina
Location: London via Sao Paolo
Bio: The Garoa Fina project (a São Paulo’s slang to talk about the winter drizzle), developed and carried by the musical producer Arievilo Leirbag (a.k.a. Gabriel Oliveira) in December 2008, brings a result of an entire life of research in the area of “shake-your-body-songs”. After a long time hearing and analyzing material, work with this knowledge was necessary. The result is a great mixture of grooves with a recipe that includes jazz, funk, soul, samba, afrobeat, house, disco, latin beats, hip hop and dub. All of it is involved by a soulful atmosphere that make a direct reference to the vintage and the modern, the old the the new, at the same time. The project has moved from Sao Paulo to London in May 2010 and also absorbed the drizzle of UK’s capital.
