The Crusaders – Stomp and Buck Dance (1974) (Live) (Video)

The Crusaders was one of the most influential fusion funk/jazz bands of our time, and here they are playing live on Soul Train performance.

Soul Train performances are notorious for artists lip syncing and bands dummy playing, but this is one of the few performances where the band is playing live. In the early 80′s, The trombonist for The Crusaders, Wayne Henderson, would record a few albums with Roy Ayers. Other members of The Crusaders included the great and influential Joe Sample on keys, Stix Hooper on drums, Wilton Felder on sax, Larry Carlton on guitar, and Robert Popwell on bass.
