Common / Mos Def / Black Thought – Hurricane (Ayentee Remix) (Download)

Producer/Emcee Ayentee sent the Roy Ayers Project an exclusive remix where he made a beat using a Roy Ayers sample, and mixed it with an acapella featuring Mos Def, Common, and Black Thought from their song entitled Hurricane released in 1999. The song was a compliment to the movie Hurricane, which was based on once incarcerated boxer Rubin “Hurricane” Carter. Although this song featured some of the greatest emcees to bless a microphone, the beat provided by the original version was uninspiring and bland. That is why we are thankful that Ayentee provided us with a remix with his own head-nodding production to support the weight of the emcees and their message…and Ayentee used Roy Ayers as inspiration for making the beat.
